Honey hunter loses 7 of family in train accident

Sajan Dhami was hopeless on Monday as he lit the burial service fires of seven individuals from his family who died when the Jagdalpur-Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express wrecked close Kuneru station in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday night.



"We had arranged a visit to our town amid Holi yet now the most surprising thing has happened," said Sajan, 27, of Siriguda, close Rayagada. He was sobbing in anguish. Among the dead were Sajan's more youthful sibling Viswanath, sister-in-law Karina Devi and their one-year-old little girl Chinu Kumari, another sister-in law Ranjan Devi, cousin Sahi Dhamin (15), sister Tulsi Kumari (8) and grandma Kulo Devi (60).Madan, the spouse of Ranjan Devi, and one of his cousins were harmed in the prepare mishap and are under treatment at Rayagada clinic.

Initially from Mirzapur town in Bihar's Begusarai area, the family had some expertise in removing nectar from colonies and had been to Bhawanipatna, in Kalahandi region, for as far back as couple of months looking for work. "My family and I remain at Gunupur and my other relatives were in Bhawanipatna... A couple days back my sibling called and said he needed to move to Vizianagaram for work," he said. The family boarded the Junagarh-Bhubaneswar prepare at Bhawanipatna. The wagons of this prepare are associated with Hirakhand Express at Rayagada for a five-hour adventure to Vizianagaram.

"They were in the general compartment. In the wake of achieving Rayagada my sibling had called me and said they would come to Gunupur to remain with us for a couple days. In any case, in the early hours of Sunday I got a call and was stunned to hear that seven of my relatives had been killed in the prepare mischance," Sajan said.
